Topics of Interest

If a surgical procedure is necessary, all procedures are done via minimally invasive techniques, using laparoscopy or laser surgery, as well as hysteroscopy. Virtually all gynecologic problems can be treated using these tools. Some of these procedures include:
  • Treatment of endometriosis
  • Removal of scar tissue (adhesions) to lessen pain
  • Removal of ovarian cysts
  • Removal of fibroids (myomectomy)
  • Removal of the uterus (hysterectomy)
  • Correction of urinary stress incontinence (bladder tack) and/or pelvic prolapse
  • Treatment of ovarian and endometrial cancer
  • Endometrial ablation for correction of uterine bleeding

Post-Operative Benefits

  • No hospital stay, or significantly decreased stay
  • Decreased post-operative pain
  • More rapid return to normal activity or work
  • Improvement of sexual function compared to other gynecologic surgeries
  • Decreased blood loss, with less likelihood of transfusions and/or other surgical complications
  • Most importantly, surgical results are enhanced by the ability of the surgeon to see and work with tissues.
